Getting There

Walking
Start your journey at the Blantyre City Center. Head south on Victoria Avenue until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Masauko Chipembere Highway. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the M1 road. At this junction, turn left onto the M1 road heading towards Thyolo. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers. Look for a sign for Nthawira Peak on your right. After the sign, follow the footpath up the hill, which will lead you directly to the peak.

From Blantyre City Center, take a minibus heading towards Thyolo. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Nthawira Peak. The fare should be around 300 MWK. Once you get off, look for the path leading up the hill on your right. Follow this path to reach the peak.

Cycling
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Blantyre. Start your ride from the City Center and head south on Victoria Avenue. Continue onto Masauko Chipembere Highway, then merge onto the M1 road towards Thyolo. After approximately 3 kilometers, look for the sign for Nthawira Peak on your right. Park your bike at the foot of the hill and walk the remaining distance to the peak.
