Getting There

Walking

If you are starting from the Karonga town center, head east towards the main road (M1). Walk along the M1 for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with the road leading to the lake. You will see local shops and stalls along the way. Once at the junction, turn left and continue walking towards the lake. Keep walking for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach Lwasho Beach, which will be on your right side.
Bicycle

From the Karonga town center, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. After renting, cycle east towards the main road (M1), which is about 1 kilometer away. Once on M1, turn left and continue along the road for about 2 kilometers. Look for the road leading to the lake on your left, then turn onto that road. Continue cycling until you reach Lwasho Beach on your right.
Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)

From your location in Karonga, find a street corner where motorcycle taxis (known as Boda Boda) are available. Inform the rider that you want to go to Lwasho Beach. The driver will take you along the main road (M1) towards the junction leading to the lake. After approximately a 5-minute ride, you will reach the road to the lake. The driver will then navigate to Lwasho Beach, which should take about 10 minutes from the junction.
