After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach the Shire Camp area. Smaltoursafari is located within Shire Camp, where you can park your vehicle. Make sure to have cash on hand for any entrance fees to the park, which typically costs around 10 USD per person.

For those using public transportation, you can take a minibus from Machinga or Mangochi to Liwonde. Once you arrive at the Liwonde bus station, you can hire a local taxi or engage a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you directly to Shire Camp. The taxi ride will take about 15-20 minutes and should cost around 5-10 USD. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Smaltoursafari at Shire Camp.
