Getting There

Car
If you are driving from the main entrance of Majete Wildlife Reserve, head south along the main road. Continue to follow the road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach a fork. At the fork, take the right-hand road, which leads towards the DFM farm area. Continue for another 3 kilometers, and you will see a sign for DFM farm on your left. There is parking available at the farm.

Public Transportation
To reach DFM farm via public transportation, you can take a minibus from Chikwawa to Majete Wildlife Reserve. Once you arrive at the reserve, you will need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a ride with a resident. The taxi drivers are familiar with the area and can take you directly to DFM farm for a small fee, usually around 500 MWK. The journey by taxi from the reserve to DFM farm takes about 15-20 minutes.

Walking
If you are already within Majete Wildlife Reserve and prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route. Start at the main lodge within the reserve and head south towards the river bank. Follow the trail that runs parallel to the river for about 4 kilometers until you reach the fork. At the fork, take the right-hand path, which will lead you directly to DFM farm. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry water, as the walk can be challenging.
