If you are staying in the Nkhata Bay town center, begin your journey by heading towards the lakefront. Walk along the main road, known as the M5, which runs parallel to the shore. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will reach a junction where you can see the sign for Chikale Beach. Follow the road that heads uphill towards the direction of the beach. Continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork, which leads directly to Chikale Beach. It’s advisable to ask locals for specific directions as you go, as they can provide real-time guidance.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nkhata Bay. Start your ride from the town center, heading towards the lakefront along the M5 road. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Chikale Beach and follow the same instructions as for walking. After about 1 kilometer, take the uphill road and follow the left fork at the junction. Enjoy the scenic views as you cycle your way to the beach, which is about 1.5 kilometers from the town center.
