Walking
Starting from the center of Nkhata Bay, head towards the main road that runs along the shoreline. Walk north along the lakeside road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Nkhata Bay bus station. Continue along the same road for another 500 meters. You will see signs pointing towards Lidiwa Beach. Take the dirt path that leads off the main road towards the beach. Follow this path for about 300 meters, and you will arrive at Lidiwa Beach. The total walking distance is approximately 1.8 kilometers.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nkhata Bay. Begin your journey from the town center and ride towards the lakeside road. Proceed north along the shore for about 1 kilometer until you reach the bus station. Continue for another 500 meters along the road, where you will find a sign pointing to Lidiwa Beach. Take the dirt path leading towards the beach and cycle for about 300 meters to reach your destination. The total distance for cycling is approximately 1.8 kilometers.
Boat
For a unique experience, consider taking a boat to Lidiwa Beach. Find one of the local fishermen near the main harbor in Nkhata Bay and negotiate a ride. The boat ride will take you across the bay, and you should inform the captain that you want to go to Lidiwa Beach. The boat will drop you off at a nearby spot, and from there, you may need to walk approximately 200 meters along the shore to reach the beach.
