If you are driving from Mzuzu, head south on the M1 road towards Liwonde. The distance is approximately 220 kilometers and will take around 3 to 4 hours. Once you reach Liwonde, look for signs directing you towards Liwonde National Park. The Chimwala Bush Camp is located within the park, so be prepared for a short drive on unpaved roads. Follow the signs to the park entrance, where you may need to pay an entrance fee (approximately 10,000 MWK per person). After entering the park, follow the directions to Chimwala Bush Camp, located at X7P6+VPX.

Public Transportation (Minibus)
To reach Chimwala Bush Camp from Mzuzu via public transportation, take a minibus from the Mzuzu bus terminal to Liwonde. The fare is around 1,500 MWK and the journey takes about 4 to 5 hours. Once you arrive in Liwonde, you can hire a local taxi or arrange for a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you to the entrance of Liwonde National Park. The taxi fare will vary but expect to pay around 5,000 MWK. Upon entering the park, you will need to pay the entrance fee of approximately 10,000 MWK per person. Follow the directions to Chimwala Bush Camp once you are inside the park.
