Getting There

Car
From the city of Mzuzu, head south on the M1 road towards Nkhotakota. The journey is approximately 120 kilometers and typically takes around 2-3 hours. Once you reach Nkhotakota, follow signs towards Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve. The entrance to the reserve is clearly marked. After entering the reserve, continue driving on the main road within the reserve until you reach Kachenga Bush Camp. The camp is located deep within the reserve, so be sure to follow the signs toward the camp.

Public Transportation
From Mzuzu, take a minibus to Nkhotakota. The minibus station in Mzuzu is located near the city center. The fare should be around 1,000 MWK. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Nkhotakota, you can hire a taxi to take you to the Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve entrance. Taxi fares may vary, but expect to pay around 5,000 MWK. After entering the reserve, follow the signs to Kachenga Bush Camp.
