From Salima town, head south on the M5 road towards Mangochi. Continue for about 20 kilometers, then turn left onto the Lifuwu Road. Drive for about 5 kilometers, and you will see the sign for Kumbali Lake Retreat on your left. The retreat is located near Senga Bay, so keep an eye out for local landmarks such as the lake itself.

Public Transportation
Take a minibus from the main bus station in Salima heading towards Mangochi. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Lifuwu. This trip will cost approximately 500 MWK (Malawian Kwacha). Once you reach Lifuwu, you can either walk about 5 kilometers to Kumbali Lake Retreat or arrange for a local taxi from Lifuwu to the retreat, which should cost around 2000 MWK.
