Car
If you're driving, start from the city of Blantyre. Take the M1 road heading south for approximately 30 km. Look for signs directing you to Thyolo, and turn onto the Thyolo road (A1). Continue on this road for about 22 km until you reach the Satemwa Tea Estate. Turn into the estate, and follow the signs to Chawani Bungalow, which will be located within the estate premises. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Chawani Bungalow via public transport, you can take a minibus from Blantyre to Thyolo. Head to the minibus station in Blantyre and look for a minibus heading to Thyolo (these minibuses run frequently). The fare is usually around 500 MWK. Once you reach Thyolo, you may need to negotiate a local taxi to take you to the Satemwa Tea Estate, which should cost around 2000 MWK. Once at the estate, follow the signs to Chawani Bungalow.
