Walking
If you are in the central area of Zomba, start by heading south on Zomba's main road, known as the Zomba-Blantyre Road. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Zomba Market on your left. This is a bustling area where you can take a moment to explore local shops. From the market, proceed straight until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road that leads towards Chikanda. Keep going straight for about 15 minutes, and you'll pass by local houses and greenery. Eventually, you'll see a sign for Nandolo. Continue on this road, and after approximately 10 more minutes, you should see the entrance for Mango Lodge on your right. The lodge is located in a quiet area with beautiful surroundings, making it a great place to relax.
Bicycle
For those renting a bicycle in Zomba, begin your journey at the Zomba Market. Head south on the main road (Zomba-Blantyre Road) and cycle until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit toward Chikanda. Continue biking straight for about 25 minutes, enjoying the scenic views. You'll pass local neighborhoods and lush greenery. As you approach the Nandolo area, keep an eye out for the Mango Lodge sign on your right. The cycling route is relatively flat, making it an enjoyable ride.
Public Transport (Minibus)
To reach Mango Lodge using public transport, make your way to the main minibus station in Zomba, located near the Zomba Market. Look for a minibus heading towards Chikanda or Nandolo. The fare is usually very affordable. Once on the minibus, inform the driver or conductor that you need to get off at the Nandolo area. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes. After disembarking, walk for about 5 minutes along the main road until you see the Mango Lodge entrance on your right. Be sure to check with locals or the driver for the exact stop to ensure you don’t miss it.
