Walking
If you are starting from the Zomba Central Business District (CBD), head south on Zomba-Malosa Road. Walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the junction with J72X. Turn left onto J72X, and continue walking straight. Mzathu Garden will be on your right side after approximately 10 minutes of walking. Look for a well-marked entrance; the garden is known for its lush greenery and event venue.
Bicycle
From the Zomba CBD, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head south along Zomba-Malosa Road, cycling for about 15 minutes. When you reach the junction with J72X, turn left. Bike straight for another 10 minutes and you will find Mzathu Garden on your right. The ride is mostly flat and should be a pleasant journey through the town.
Local Transport (Boda Boda)
In Zomba, you can hire a Boda Boda (motorcycle taxi) from the main taxi rank. Ask the driver to take you to Mzathu Garden located on J72X. It should take about 10 minutes to get there depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your ride. The Boda Boda will drop you off right at the entrance of the garden.
