If you are starting from the Tanah Rata bus station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Jalan Besar). Turn right onto Jalan Besar and walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the Tanah Rata town center. Continue walking until you see the Tanah Rata Post Office on your left. From the Post Office, take the road that leads up the hill, which is Jalan Cinta Emas. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance to Jungle Trail 5, which will be on your left. Look for a sign marking the trailhead.

If you are in Brinchang, walk down to the main road (Jalan Besar) and take a local bus or walk towards Tanah Rata. If walking, it’s a downhill trek of about 1.5 kilometers. Once you reach Tanah Rata, follow the directions from the Tanah Rata bus station as outlined above.

You can take a local taxi or ride-sharing service from your accommodation in Cameron Highlands to the Tanah Rata bus station. Once at the bus station, follow the walking instructions provided earlier to reach Jungle Trail 5. This option is great if you’re traveling in a group or carrying hiking gear.

For those staying near the Cameron Highlands Resort, you can also walk to Jungle Trail 5. Exit the resort and head towards Jalan Gereja. Walk straight until you reach the end of the road, then turn right onto Jalan Cinta Emas. Continue for about 1 kilometer to reach the trailhead, which will be on your left.
