Bus
From the George Town city center, head to the nearest bus stop on Jalan Penang. Take the Rapid Penang Bus number 201 or 203 heading towards Ayer Itam. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Ayer Itam bus terminal. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Kek Lok Si Temple, which is about 1.5 kilometers away.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of Ayer Itam, you can walk to Kek Lok Si Temple. From Ayer Itam bus terminal, head southwest on Jalan Balik Pulau. Continue straight for about 15-20 minutes until you see the entrance to Kek Lok Si Temple on your right. The path is mostly flat but be prepared for some slight inclines as you approach the temple.
Taxi or Grab
If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi or the Grab app. Just enter 'Kek Lok Si Temple' as your destination. The ride from central George Town will take around 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure to specify that you want to go to the temple on Jalan Balik Pulau.
