Walking
From the center of Tambun, head towards Jalan Tambun. You can find local signboards pointing in the direction of Gunung Ginting. Walk along Jalan Tambun for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Jalan Ginting. Continue straight until you see the entrance to the hiking trail on your right. The walk should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.
Public Bus
Take the local bus service (Bus No. 99) from the nearest bus stop in Tambun. Board the bus heading towards Ipoh and inform the driver that you want to get off at Gunung Ginting. The fare is approximately RM 2.00. Once you get off, follow the signs leading to the hiking trail entrance, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Tambun. Once you have a bicycle, cycle along Jalan Tambun towards Jalan Ginting. The approximate distance is about 1.5 kilometers. The bike ride will take around 10-15 minutes. Look for the entrance to the hiking trail on your right.
Ride-Hailing Service
You can use a ride-hailing service like Grab to reach Gunung Ginting. Open the app on your smartphone and set your destination to 'Gunung Ginting'. The ride from the central area of Tambun to the entrance of Gunung Ginting should cost around RM 10-15, and it will take approximately 10 minutes depending on traffic.
