From the Johor Bahru city center, head to the nearest bus stop. Board Bus 1, which goes towards Larkin Sentral. Travel for about 30 minutes until you reach the Larkin Sentral bus terminal. From Larkin Sentral, switch to bus 170 or 950 heading to Singapore. The bus will take you across the causeway into Singapore. Once you cross the border, continue on the same bus until you reach the Raffles Place MRT station in Singapore. From Raffles Place, you can walk to the Original Merlion Site located at Merlion Park, which is about a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs towards the waterfront, and you will see the iconic statue.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can book a taxi or a ride-hailing service like Grab from anywhere in Johor Bahru. Simply enter 'Merlion Park, Singapore' as your destination. The driver will take you to the causeway and handle the border crossing. The trip may take about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Merlion Park, you will be right at the Original Merlion Site.

Walking
If you are in the vicinity of the Johor Bahru waterfront (such as near the JB City Square or Johor Bahru Customs), you can walk to the immigration checkpoint at the causeway. After passing through the immigration, continue walking towards Singapore. Follow the signs directing you towards the MRT stations and Merlion Park. This route may take over an hour, but it provides a scenic view as you walk along the causeway and into Singapore.
