Car
If you are driving from Serangoon, head south on Serangoon Ave towards Upper Serangoon Rd. Merge onto the Central Expressway (CTE) and follow the signs for the City. Take exit 17 towards Bukit Timah Rd and merge onto the East Coast Parkway (ECP). Continue on ECP and take the exit towards Raffles Ave. Follow Raffles Ave, and you will see the Merlion located at Merlion Park. Note that parking is available at nearby car parks but may incur fees ranging from SGD 2 to SGD 4 per hour.

To reach the Merlion by public transport, start at Serangoon MRT Station (NE12). Take the North East Line towards HarbourFront. Transfer at Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station (NE6/NS24/CC1) to the North South Line (Red Line) towards Marina South Pier. Alight at City Hall MRT Station (NS25/EW13). From City Hall, exit towards Raffles City and walk towards Raffles Avenue, continuing until you reach Merlion Park. The entire journey should take approximately 30-40 minutes and costs around SGD 1.50 to SGD 2.00.
