Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Alor Setar, the capital of Kedah. Head south on the North-South Expressway (E1) and take exit 158 towards Bedong. After exiting, turn left onto Jalan Bedong and continue straight for about 10 km. Look for signs for Kampung Pengkalan Langgar and turn onto PL2 road. Bakau Hijau will be on your left. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Alor Setar to Sungai Petani. Once you reach Sungai Petani, find a local bus heading towards Bedong. Inform the driver you want to get off at Kampung Pengkalan Langgar. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to Bakau Hijau, which is located on PL2 road. Ensure you have small change for the bus fare, usually around MYR 5-10.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
Using a taxi or ride-sharing service like Grab is a convenient option. Simply input 'Bakau Hijau, Kampung Pengkalan Langgar' as your destination. This method will cost approximately MYR 30-50 depending on your starting point in Kedah. The driver will take you directly to the site, making this the easiest way if you have a group or prefer more comfort.
