Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Kota Bharu, head southwest on Jalan Kuala Krai (Route 12) for about 60 km. Follow the signs for Kuala Tahan. Once you reach Kuala Tahan, continue on the main road until you see the entrance to Taman Negara National Park. Park your vehicle at the designated parking area. From here, you will need to hire a boat to take you to Teras waterfall. The boat ride will last approximately 30 minutes and will cost around RM20-30 per person, depending on the number of passengers.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Teras waterfall via public transport, you can take a bus from Kota Bharu to Jerantut. Buses depart frequently from the main bus terminal. The journey takes around 3-4 hours and costs approximately RM30. From Jerantut, you can catch a taxi or a local bus to Kuala Tahan, which is about 30 km away. Once you arrive in Kuala Tahan, you will need to take a boat to the waterfall, costing around RM20-30 per person for a 30-minute ride.

• Boat

  After reaching Kuala Tahan, you must hire a boat to reach Teras waterfall. The boat ride takes about 30 minutes and costs RM20-30 per person. Make sure to negotiate the price beforehand, especially if you are in a group, as it may be cheaper per person. Enjoy the scenic views along the river as you approach the waterfall.
