To drive from Kinabalu National Park to Danum Valley Conservation Area, start by heading southeast on the road leading out of the park. Follow signs to the town of Ranau. After approximately 33 km, you will reach the junction to the E1 highway. Take the E1 highway heading towards Lahad Datu. Continue on the E1 for about 160 km until you reach Lahad Datu. From Lahad Datu, follow the signs to the Danum Valley Conservation Area, which is about a 1.5-hour drive away (approximately 80 km). The road can be bumpy, so drive carefully.
