From Kinabalu National Park, drive north on Jalan Timpohon towards the entrance gate. Continue on Jalan Timpohon until you reach the junction with Jalan Mesilau. Turn left onto Jalan Mesilau and continue driving until you see the sign for Bukit Kopungit Hiking Trail starting point. The trailhead is located on the left side of the road.
