Walk along the waterfront promenade until you reach the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park entrance. This is approximately a 15-minute walk. Once you reach the entrance, ask for directions to Bukit Kopungit. It's about a 30-minute hike from the entrance to the vantage point, which is known for its beautiful views.

Take a local bus from the city center to the nearest stop to Bukit Kopungit. Look for buses that head towards 'Kota Kinabalu Park' or 'Inanam'. Once you arrive at the Inanam bus stop, you can ask locals for the direction to Bukit Kopungit. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to the trailhead. Follow the signs or ask locals for further guidance towards the hike.
