Walk
If you are staying in the city center of Kota Kinabalu, you can start your journey to Tanjung Aru by walking towards Jalan Tun Razak. Head south on Jalan Tun Razak until you reach the roundabout. Continue straight through the roundabout to stay on Jalan Tun Razak. After about 1 km, you will see a sign for Tanjung Aru. Follow the signs to Jalan Aru, which will lead you directly to Tanjung Aru. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Public Bus
From the city center, head to the nearest bus station, which is located at the Wawasan Plaza. Look for bus number 7 or 10, which services the route to Tanjung Aru. Board the bus and pay the fare (approximately RM 2-3). The bus will take you directly to Tanjung Aru, and the journey should last around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Jalan Aru.
Taxi or Ride-hailing Service
If you prefer a more direct option, you can use a taxi or a ride-hailing service like Grab. Simply open the app, enter 'Tanjung Aru' or '18, Jalan Aru, Kota Kinabalu' as your destination, and request a ride. The fare may vary depending on your starting point but expect it to be around RM 10-15 from the city center. The drive should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
