If you are near the heart of Georgetown, start by heading towards Lebuh Light. You can use landmarks such as the Penang City Hall or the Esplanade as reference points. From the Esplanade, walk towards the sea until you reach the intersection with Lebuh Light. Fort Cornwallis will be directly on your left as you approach.
Public Bus
You can take the Rapid Penang bus service. Look for bus routes 101, 102, or 103, which pass through Georgetown. Get off at the 'Fort Cornwallis' stop, which is specifically marked. From there, it’s just a short walk towards the entrance of the fort, which is located along Lebuh Light.
Trishaw
For a more local experience, you can hire a trishaw from various spots in Georgetown, especially around Komtar or Little India. Tell the trishaw rider you want to go to Fort Cornwallis on Lebuh Light. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic and will drop you off directly at the entrance.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Georgetown. Head towards Lebuh Light by following the road signs. Make sure to stay on the bike lanes where available. Once you reach the waterfront area, Fort Cornwallis will be on your left.
