If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Kuala Terengganu. Take the East Coast Highway (E8) heading towards Dungun. The drive is approximately 90 km and will take around 1.5 hours. Once you reach Dungun, look for signs directing you to Hutan Simpan Pasir Raja. Follow the road to the entrance of the forest reserve, where you can park your vehicle. Note that there may be a small parking fee of around RM 5.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Kuala Terengganu to Dungun. The buses are available at the Kuala Terengganu Bus Terminal. Once you arrive at Dungun, you can hire a taxi or a local ride-sharing service to take you to Hutan Simpan Pasir Raja. The taxi fare from Dungun town to the waterfall area is approximately RM 30-50, depending on the negotiation.

After reaching Hutan Simpan Pasir Raja, prepare for a hike to Air Terjun Chemerong. The waterfall is about a 30-45 minute trek through the forest. Ensure you wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry sufficient water and snacks. The trail can be steep at times, so be cautious. There are no entrance fees to the waterfall, but it is advisable to join a guided tour for safety and navigation assistance.
