From Velana International Airport (MLE) near Malé, the most common way to reach Vaadhoo Island is via speedboat. Speedboat transfers typically take around 30-50 minutes to the Raa Atoll, where Vaadhoo is located. Private speedboat transfers can cost between $20-$50 per person. It's essential to book your transfer in advance through your resort or a local travel agency.

Domestic Flight and Speedboat
Another option involves taking a domestic flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) to a nearby airport such as Kaadedhdhoo Airport (KDM), followed by a speedboat transfer to Vaadhoo. The flight to Kaadedhdhoo takes approximately 55 minutes, and the subsequent speedboat ride is about 35 minutes. Contact your resort for domestic flight schedules and combined transfer costs, which can vary.

Ferry and Domestic Flight
To reach Vaadhoo Island from Malé, take a ferry from the airport to Malé. From Malé, you can take a domestic flight to either Maavarulu Airport or Fuvahmulah Airport. Then book a local ferry to Vaadhoo. Keep in mind that you may need to transit to one or two islands before arriving to Vaadhoo. The cost of the ferry is approximately MVR 500.
