Hexagon Point: A Hidden Gem in Thinadhoo

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the main town center of Thinadhoo. Head southeast towards the main road and continue straight. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach a fork; take the left road, which leads directly to Hexagon Point. Look for signs indicating tourist attractions. The total distance should be around 4 kilometers from the town center. Parking is available near the attraction.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  For those using public transportation, board a local bus from the main bus terminal in Thinadhoo. Buses frequently depart for various parts of the atoll, including Hexagon Point. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will assist you. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes, and you will need to pay a small fare, usually around 10-20 MVR (Maldivian Rufiyaa). Disembark at the nearest bus stop to Hexagon Point and walk the remaining distance (approximately 500 meters).

• Bicycle

  If you prefer a more active option, you can rent a bicycle in Thinadhoo. Cycle southeast from the town center towards the main road. Follow the same route as for cars, but be cautious of traffic. The ride will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed. Ensure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated, as it can be hot. There are bike rental shops in the town where you can rent a bike for around 50-100 MVR per hour.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and the weather is pleasant, walking to Hexagon Point is also an option. Starting from Thinadhoo, head southeast on the main road. It will take approximately 1 hour to walk the 4 kilometers to the destination. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as there are limited facilities along the way.
