Speedboat
The only way to reach Thulhaagiri Island from Velana International Airport (MLE) is by speedboat. Upon arrival at the airport, a resort representative will greet you and escort you to the speedboat. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes, covering a distance of 13 km. The roundtrip speedboat transfer costs approximately USD 110 per adult and USD 55 per child (ages 2-12). It is highly recommended to book the transfer in advance with the resort, providing your international flight details at least 3 days prior to arrival. Failure to do so may result in additional expenses for a private speedboat transfer. Taxi services are available from the airport to Malé city and Hulhumale, but they are not relevant for reaching Thulhagiri Island. Note: There are no ferries that go to Thulhagiri.
