Walking

Republic Square is centrally located in Malé and easily accessible on foot from many points within the city. From the Hulhumalé Ferry Terminal, walk north along Boduthakurufaanu Magu for about 5 minutes. The square will be on your left, near the Shaheedh Hussain Adam Building. No costs are involved.

Public Transport

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) operates bus routes throughout Malé. Several bus stops are located near Republic Square, including Majeediyya School Bus Stop and Atlas Tuition Bus Stop. Bus fares start at MVR 3. From the airport, a bus to Malé costs around MVR 20. Check local bus schedules for specific routes and times.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Malé and offer a convenient way to reach Republic Square. A short taxi ride within the city typically costs around MVR 20, with fares increasing to MVR 30 after 11:00 PM. Taxis can be hailed on the street or found at designated taxi stands.
