The most common way to reach Thoddoo Beach is by speedboat from Malé International Airport (MLE). Speedboats depart from the airport jetty and take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Thoddoo. A one-way ticket costs around $35 per person. You can book tickets online, through your accommodation, or directly at the airport.
Public Ferry
A budget-friendly option is the public ferry, though it takes longer. The MTCC public ferry departs from Malé on Mondays and Thursdays at 9:00 AM, arriving in Thoddoo around 4:20 PM. The ferry makes a stop at Rasdhoo Island. The journey costs approximately $5 per person. Check the MTCC website for the most up-to-date schedule as delays and cancellations can occur.
Walking
Once on Thoddoo Island, Thoddu Beach is easily accessible on foot. From the arrival point, follow the sandy roads through the island. The walk to either the northern or southern bikini beach takes approximately 20 minutes. Bicycles are also available for rent from guesthouses for around $5 per day.
