From Velana International Airport (MLE) near Malé, the most common way to reach Thoddoo is by speedboat. Tourist speedboats depart from the airport jetty and take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. It's best to book in advance through your accommodation or online. A one-way trip typically costs around $35-$50 per person.

Public Ferry

A more budget-friendly option is the public ferry, which makes a stop at Rasdhoo Island. The ferry from Malé to Rasdhoo takes about 3 hours, and then it's another 1.5 hours from Rasdhoo to Thoddoo. Check the MTCC website for the latest schedules, as they can be subject to change. The total cost is approximately $4 USD.

Walking

Once on Thoddoo, Karaa Village is easily accessible on foot. From the Thoddoo harbor, it's a short walk through the island's main roads. Ask any local for directions; the guest house is well-known. Alternatively, you can rent a bicycle for around $5 per day to explore the island.
