Getting There

  • Walking

If you are starting from the main harbor area of Thulusdhoo, head southeast towards the main street (Boduthakurufaanu Magu). Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path, which leads towards the beach area. Keep walking until you reach the coast, then turn right and walk along the beach. After about 5 minutes, you will see the Samura Beach Swing located on the beach. It's an iconic spot, so it should be easy to recognize.

  • Bicycle

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near the harbor. After renting, head southeast on Boduthakurufaanu Magu. Continue cycling straight for about 10 minutes, then take the left path at the fork. Cycle towards the beach area and follow the same route along the coast as described for walking. The ride will take around 15 minutes, depending on your speed.

  • Local Transportation

While Thulusdhoo is a small island and walking or biking is the most common way to get around, you can ask local guesthouses for any available shuttle services to the beach. Some may offer this for free or for a small fee. If using a shuttle, specify that you are going to the Samura Beach Swing, and it should take you directly to the beach area.
