Walking
If you are in the heart of Medina Coura, start by heading towards Avenue Moussa Tavele. Walk along this avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Rue 5. Continue on Avenue Moussa Tavele until you can see the large building of the Musée de Bamako ahead. The museum is located in the Dar Salam area, which is a bit to the northwest of Medina Coura. Make sure to keep an eye out for street signs as you go, and feel free to ask locals for directions if needed.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from any local vendor in Medina Coura. Once you have your bike, head towards Avenue Moussa Tavele. After about 10 minutes of cycling along this road, you will see the entrance to the Musée de Bamako ahead on your left. The cycling path is relatively flat and safe, making it a pleasant ride.
Motorbike Taxi (Kawasaki)
To reach the Musée de Bamako quickly, consider taking a motorbike taxi, known locally as 'Kawasaki'. You can find these taxis at various points in Medina Coura. Simply tell the driver 'Musée de Bamako' or point them towards the direction of Avenue Moussa Tavele. The fare should generally range between 500 to 1000 CFA depending on your starting point, and the journey will take around 5-10 minutes.
