Getting There

  • Walking

    From Munxar village, walk for about 15 minutes towards the coast. Once you reach the coast, follow the path to the west. The trail is well-maintained and offers beautiful views of the coastline. Be cautious, as some parts of the route are narrow and close to the cliff edge.

  • Public Transport

    Take bus number 305 or 306 from Victoria to the Spir bus stop. From the bus stop, walk down Il-Pinnur for approximately 20 minutes. Turn left onto Triq ta' Bebunaq and continue onto Triq it-Tilliera for about 1.5km. A single bus fare costs approximately €2. Alternatively, from Xlendi Bay, it is approximately a 2 km (30-minute walk) to the viewpoint. Head to the Xlendi Tower on the headland and follow the coastal track southeast.

  • Taxi

    From the Gozo Ferry Terminal in Mġarr, a taxi to Sanap Cliffs will cost approximately €15-€20 and take around 20 minutes. Taxis are readily available at the terminal. Ensure the driver is familiar with the location, as it is slightly off the main roads. A taxi from Munxar to Għajnsielem will cost about €12. The starting price is €5.0 and the price per KM is €2.1.

    Drive towards Munxar village. Follow the signs to Sanap Cliffs. As you approach the cliffs, a narrow road leads to a small parking space at the road's end. Parking is limited, especially during the early evening. Parking may have a small fee, typically around €2-€3 for the day.
