If you are in the heart of Valletta, start at the Upper Barracca Gardens. Exit the gardens and head towards the main street, Republic Street. Walk down Republic Street until you reach the City Gate. From there, you can catch a bus or continue walking. If you choose to walk, continue straight along the road until you reach the bus stop at Floriana. Here, take the bus number 41, 42, or 49 towards Birkirkara. After approximately 20 minutes, disembark at the stop 'Lija' on M. Aguis Street. The Lija Parish Church will be a short walk straight ahead. You should see the church's distinct architecture as you approach.
