Quarrying and construction impacted the catacombs, and a farmhouse built above them led to some damage, with tombs repurposed as animal pens and even air raid shelters during World War II. Recent restoration efforts and archaeological studies have revitalized the site, revealing new discoveries and interpretations.Visitors can explore the catacombs and venture inside some of the ancient chambers. The complex is divided into three parts, with accessible catacombs in the first two sections and a protected area in the third. The site also features a visitor center and a garden with a playground.
