Travel Guide to Cittadella Visitor Centre

Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you're in Gozo, you can take a public bus to reach the Cittadella Visitor Centre located in Victoria. Start by finding the nearest bus stop to your current location. Buses in Gozo are frequent and will take you to Victoria. Look for routes that specifically mention 'Victoria' or 'Citadel.' Once you arrive at the Victoria bus terminal, exit the bus and head towards the main street. Follow the signs directing you towards the Citadel, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus terminal. As you walk, you will pass shops and cafes. Keep walking straight until you see the entrance to the Cittadella Visitor Centre on your left.

• Walking

  If you are already in Victoria, the Cittadella Visitor Centre is easily accessible by foot. Start at the main square in Victoria, known as 'Pjazza Indipendenza.' From the square, head towards 'Triq San Pawl.' Continue straight, and you will see the Citadel walls ahead. Follow the path that leads up to the Citadel entrance. The Visitor Centre is located just inside the Citadel's walls, and you should see clear signage directing you to it.

• Bicycle Rental

  For those who prefer a quicker mode of transport, consider renting a bicycle. There are several bicycle rental shops in Victoria. After renting your bike, head towards 'Triq Ir-Repubblika' and continue straight until you reach the Citadel. Bicycle parking is available near the entrance to the Cittadella Visitor Centre.

• Taxi

  If you prefer not to walk or take public transport, you can also use a taxi service. Taxis are available throughout Gozo and can be hailed on the street or booked via phone. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the Cittadella Visitor Centre in Victoria. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
