Mġarr ix-Xini is a tranquil, picturesque bay on the island of Gozo, Malta, known for its clear turquoise waters and dramatic, steep-sided valley. Public Transport
From Mġarr Harbour, where the Gozo ferries arrive, take bus 301 towards Victoria (Rabat). From Victoria, transfer to bus 316 towards Mġarr ix-Xini. The bus stop is located at the top of a steep road leading down to the bay; allow for a 15-20 minute walk downhill to reach the beach. A single bus ticket costs €2.50 and is valid for two hours, allowing for transfers. Alternatively, consider purchasing a Tallinja card for multiple days of unlimited travel.
Taxi
From Mġarr Harbour, a taxi to Mġarr ix-Xini will cost approximately €20-€25. The journey takes around 20 minutes. Taxis are readily available at the ferry terminal.
Walking
Mġarr ix-Xini is not easily accessible by walking from major hubs. The closest village is Sannat. From Sannat it is approximately a 30 minute walk. Note that the final part of the approach involves walking down a very steep road.
