Getting There

  • Driving

    The most convenient way to reach Tal-Mixta Cave is by car. Drive towards Nadur and follow the signs to Ramla Bay. The cave is located at the end of Triq l-Għassa tal-Maħraġ, a narrow, unsealed road. Drive slowly as the road can be bumpy. Park in the designated parking bays about 300 meters from the cave. From there, it's a short walk to the cave entrance. Parking is free. There are no tolls.

  • Public Transport

    To reach Tal-Mixta Cave by bus from Victoria, take bus line 302 towards Ramla. Get off at the 'Qasab' bus stop in Nadur. From there, it's approximately a 1.8 km walk to the cave. Alternatively, from Mġarr Harbour, take bus 322 towards Marsalforn and get off at Qasab. A single journey bus ticket costs €2.50 during the summer. Keep in mind the last return bus from Qasab to Victoria is at 7:32 PM.

  • Walking

    For a scenic route, hike to Tal-Mixta Cave from Ramla Bay. Follow the path that climbs the cliff on the eastern side of the bay. The hike takes about 15-20 minutes and can be steep and slippery in some sections. Wear closed shoes and bring water. There are no entrance fees.
