    From your location in Gzira, head towards the seafront promenade. Walk along the promenade towards Sliema. Once you reach the Tigné Point area, look for the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Valletta. The ferry ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Upon arriving in Valletta, disembark and follow the signs directing you towards the main city area. Walk straight along the main street (Republic Street) until you reach the Upper Barracca Gardens. From there, continue walking down Old Treasury Street, and you will find the National Library of Malta at number 36.

    From Gzira, locate the nearest bus stop and take bus number 13 or 14 towards Valletta. The bus journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Keep an eye on the bus stops and make sure to get off at the Valletta terminus (the last stop). From the bus terminus, walk towards Republic Street and head straight. Continue walking until you reach the Upper Barracca Gardens. Then, make a right onto Old Treasury Street, and you will see the National Library of Malta at number 36.
