Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the main square in Mellieha, known as 'Pjazza' or 'Mellieha Square'. From the square, walk towards the main road (Triq il-Kbira) leading out of the square. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights. When you get to the traffic lights, turn left onto Triq il-Kbira. After about 200 meters, you will see a bus stop on your left. This is the bus stop for the local bus routes. You can also choose to walk further along Triq il-Kbira until you reach the next intersection.

    Continue on Triq il-Kbira for approximately 400 meters. You will pass a supermarket and several shops. Keep an eye out for the sign for 'The Red Tower'. When you reach a small roundabout, take the second exit onto Triq Tad-Dahar. Continue walking along this road for about 600 meters. You will start to see the Red Tower in the distance as you approach.

    As you get closer, the road will have a slight incline. Keep walking until you reach the gate of The Red Tower. The entrance is marked, and there may be a small fee for entry. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area, including the island of Gozo.
