Ferry
To reach the Blue Lagoon from Mgarr, start by heading towards the Mgarr Harbour. Follow the signs directing you to the ferry terminal. The ferry service to the Blue Lagoon departs regularly from this terminal, so check the schedule upon arrival. Purchase your ticket at the ticket booth and board the ferry. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes, and you’ll enjoy scenic views of the coastline along the way. Once you arrive at the Blue Lagoon, disembark and follow the signs to the beach area.
Walking
If you prefer to hike, you can walk from Mgarr Harbour to the nearby village of Comino. Note that this is a longer route and requires more time. Begin at the ferry terminal, then follow the coastal path towards the south. You will pass through some beautiful landscapes. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the path to Comino. Once you reach Comino, you can walk to the Blue Lagoon, which is located on the west side of the island. Be prepared for a bit of trekking, and ensure you have water and snacks for the journey.
