Walking
From the center of Mqabba, head northeast on Triq il-Kapuccini towards the main road. When you reach the main road (Triq il-Kbira), turn left and continue straight. You will pass through the village of Qrendi. Keep walking until you reach the bus stop at Qrendi. Here, you will catch a bus to Mdina. Look for buses heading to Valletta or Mdina specifically. The journey should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Mdina bus terminal, you will find the main entrance to Mdina just a short walk away.
Bus
From Mqabba, find the nearest bus stop on Triq il-Kbira. Board the bus that is heading towards Valletta, which typically has stops that include Mdina. You can ask the bus driver to notify you when you reach Mdina. The journey will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive, the bus will stop at the Mdina bus terminal. From there, you can walk to the entrance of Mdina, which is clearly marked and only a few minutes away.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Mqabba. Start from the center and head out towards Triq il-Kbira. Follow this road as it leads towards Qrendi and then towards Mdina. The route is fairly straightforward but does have some hills. It will take approximately 40 minutes to reach Mdina on a bicycle. Upon arriving, you can park your bike at the designated areas near the entrance of Mdina.
