  • Car

    If you are driving from Northern Harbour, start by heading southwest on Triq Sant'Anna towards Triq Il-Knisja. Continue straight onto Triq Il-Batterija and follow the signs for the B'Bugia Road (SS2). Merge onto the Sliema Road (SS1) and continue until reaching the roundabout. Take the 2nd exit onto Triq Il-Qrendi (SS4). Follow this road until you reach Triq It-Tempesta. Il-Maqluba will be on your right. There is no entrance fee for the nature preserve.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Il-Maqluba using public transport, start by taking bus number 81 from Valletta (the main bus terminal in Northern Harbour). This bus will take you to Qrendi. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Qrendi, walk towards Triq It-Tempesta. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Look for signs directing you to Il-Maqluba. The bus fare is approximately €2.00 one way.

  • Taxi

    For a more direct route, you can also take a taxi from Northern Harbour to Il-Maqluba. Taxis are readily available throughout the area. The journey will take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic, and the fare is typically between €25 and €30. Make sure to agree on the fare or ensure the meter is used before starting your ride.
