Bus
From Paola, head to the nearest bus stop which is located on Triq il-Kbira. Look for buses heading towards Valletta. Take bus number 81 or 82. The journey should take approximately 20-30 minutes. Get off at the Valletta bus terminus. From there, walk towards the ferry terminal by following the signs to Sliema. It’s about a 10-minute walk along the waterfront. You will pass the impressive views of the Grand Harbour as you walk.

Once you reach Valletta, you can take a ferry directly to Sliema from the ferry terminal located at the waterfront. The ferry ride takes about 10 minutes and offers beautiful views of the harbor. Once you arrive at the Sliema Ferry terminal, you will be right in the heart of Sliema.

If you prefer to walk from Paola to Sliema, head towards the main road, Triq il-Kbira, and continue straight towards the coast. It’s a longer walk of about 1.5 to 2 hours, but you will pass through several interesting areas.
