Car
If you're traveling by car, start from any point in Southern Harbour. Navigate to the main road leading towards Mġarr, which is in the northern part of Malta. Use the signs directing you to 'Mġarr' and 'Gozo'. Once on the main road, follow the signs for Mġarr. After approximately 25 minutes of driving, you will reach Mġarr. From Mġarr, continue to follow the signs for 'Gnejna'. You will need to turn onto a smaller road that leads directly to Gnejna Bay. There is usually free parking available near the beach, but during peak seasons, it may be limited, so arrive early.
Public Transportation
To reach Gnejna by public transportation, first, find your way to the nearest bus stop in Southern Harbour. Take the bus number 41 or 42 towards Mġarr. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Mġarr, you will need to take a taxi or a local bus that goes to Gnejna Bay, as public transport may not directly service the beach area. If taking a taxi, it's advisable to agree on a fare beforehand. The taxi ride from Mġarr to Gnejna should cost around €10-€15. If you opt for a local bus, check the local schedules as they can vary, and be prepared for a short walk to the beach.
