Walking
From the center of Tarxien, head south on Triq il-Kbira towards Triq il-Foss. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Triq il-Gardiel. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer. You will pass through a residential area. Continue until you reach the junction with Triq San Rocco. Turn right onto Triq San Rocco. After a short walk, you will see Fort Rikasoli on your left along St. Rocco Street.

Public Transport
From Tarxien, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Triq il-Kbira. Board bus route 81 towards Valletta. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the Kalkara stop. From there, walk straight down Triq Sant'Anna until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto St. Rocco Street. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, and you will find Fort Rikasoli on your left.
