Walking
If you are starting from the Upper Barracca Gardens, exit the gardens and head towards the main road (Triq Sant' Anna). Turn right and walk down the road until you reach the end of the street. You will find the entrance to Fort St. Elmo on your left after approximately a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs to the National War Museum once you enter the fort.

From the Valletta Waterfront, walk towards the city center along the main thoroughfare (Triq il-Lazzaretto). Continue straight until you reach the main square, then take a left onto Triq San Ġwann. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Mediterranean Street. Turn right onto Mediterranean Street, and Fort St. Elmo will be on your left after a few minutes of walking.
