Getting There

Walking
If you are in the central area of Xewkija, head towards the main road (Triq il-Knisja) that leads out of the village. Walk straight along this road until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Triq il-Lunzjata. Continue walking straight for about 1 km. You will notice signs pointing towards Victoria, the capital city. As you approach Victoria, you will see a large building with a dome; that's the St George's Basilica. Follow the signs to Charity Street, where the basilica is located.

From the Xewkija Parish Church, walk towards the main street (Triq il-Knisja). Turn left and follow the road until you reach the traffic lights. At the traffic lights, cross to the opposite side and continue walking until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Triq il-Lunzjata and walk straight for approximately 1 km. Keep an eye out for the signs to Victoria. Once you reach Victoria, look for the signs directing you to Charity Street, where St George's Basilica is situated.
