Walking
Start at the Xlendi Bay area, where you'll see the beach and the surrounding restaurants. Head east along the waterfront promenade until you reach the end of the bay. Continue on the path leading up the hill, which will take you to the village of Munxar. After about a 15-20 minute walk, you will reach a junction. Turn left at the junction onto Triq il-Luzzu (Luzzu Street) and follow it as it bends right. Continue straight until you see a sign for Xlendi Salt Pans. The path will lead you directly to the salt pans.

If you are starting from the Xlendi bus stop, walk down towards the bay. Once you reach the bay, turn left and follow the promenade. After about a 10-minute walk, you’ll see the steps that lead up to Munxar. Ascend the steps, and at the top, turn left onto Triq il-Luzzu. Keep following this road, and soon you will see the sign directing you to the Xlendi Salt Pans. The total walk should take about 30 minutes.

From the Xlendi Hotel, exit the hotel and head towards the beach. Walk along the promenade towards the east. After reaching the end of the promenade, take the path leading up to Munxar. Once you are at the top, turn left on Triq il-Luzzu and continue straight until you arrive at the Xlendi Salt Pans, which should take roughly 25 minutes in total.
